Does anyone have a natural remedy for treating herniated discs or spinal stenosis?

Hi. My wife has that problem and she used a tree sap, here in Brazil, called "Breu". You mix it with some kind of salve and put in over your spinal column where the herniated disks are and tape gauze over it to hold it in place. She says it work really well.
