The three books by Bob Monroe are among the very good ones you can find on OBEs. The guy did it 'from first principles', without the scaffolding of particular spiritual paradigms. His first book, "Journeys out of the Body" has some interesting statistics at the end of the book. His second book, "Far Journeys" is perhaps the best. There is also some research information in the appendices. The final book, "Ultimate Journey", was meant to be the best  of the three but the information he was releasing was too sensitive for the general public so he had to severely edit the book in order to find a publisher. Yet even in its diminished form it still is among the few books to give detailed information on the Higher Self, other aspects of Self and such, without the colourings of a particular spiritual paradigm.

The last attached book, "Out of Body Experiences: how to have them and what to expect" may provide some more information as well as some ideas on the practical aspect. There is also a website that has the entire book online.

Finally, there is also the website I put up detailing some of my experiences, along with a few notes, OBE techniques and some short essays.
