@Yaw Asare Aboagye, sounds like it was a BlackPowerful talk. Have you heard anything about Ngânga Fu-Kiâu's health recently? I contributed to a fund to send him to Kôngo months ago but I never heard an update other than he was gravely ill at the time.

First of all I noticed that Ngânga Fu-Kiau sometimes writes Living Sun with quotation marks which may be a sign that it's the best way to describe what the Mûntu concept means in english but still has its limits.

In Self-Healing Power and Therapy, he writes "The musoni sun (lit. "the yellow sun")" as well as "the tukula sun (the red sun)" (both p.65) so maybe we can say Ntangu yakala or Ntangu ndombe to express the idea of Black Sun. I'll look into that as well b/c that Black Sun concept you mentioned is powerful! Especially when you take into account that Black is Life in the Dikenga.

And regarding a Kongo name, in Part I, chapter 1 of SHPT you have "The Naming Process" (p.10) with valuable info. The whole Part I is about conceptualization of the Mûntu.
