Learned of this book while watching a 1982 episode of the Gil Noble Show Like It Is, which featured interviews of Dr. Yosef ben-Jochanan, Dr. Ivan Van Sertima and Dr. John Henrik Clarke.  Dr. Clarke mentioned the text.

The Role of Religion in Colonization not only happened to Kmtyws a long time ago it is still happening as part of our search for our traditional spirituality. The parent-child relationshps that have developed between some traditional communities and dare I say some small countries are developing into a neo-colonialism. The function of "master" on the plantaion that Nu Kmtyw ancestors worked and died to come out from under, are being replaced with new spiritual "masters."
 
In particular, the Yoruba Diaspora for the last fifthy years has used its resources to build dynasties abroad; we have funded ecconmic endeavors that will create family security for generations on the Kmtyw continent while our own communities and elders continue to subsist. In search of our ancestors ways we have once again become a commodity something to be traded, strategically bought and sold. This  neo-colonialism travels with spiritul- imperialism. It creeps, it pacifys, it depletes, it dictates and defines.
What the spiritual seekers in the diaspora has to come to terms with is the fact that our economic power has given us priests, chiefs, and scholars, and has built large communities of devotees. Future continuity will be determined by how we use what we bought. Our relative wealth has allowed us to pay dearly for access to many of the original infrastructures of our ancestors. Our dilemma is:  what do we do with them?  Who will these sacrifices benefit, and how will these sacrifices acknowledge our collective history and evolution?  When will the diaspora begin to build and bring its own wisdoms to the table, not as a customer but as a full participant and member of the Kmtyw family?

medase pa, iyalase this goes without saying that the yoruba tradition has become pimped by nigerians who are selling the culture for whole sale price for the first oyinbo,mayiti,tamahu,crackazilian who steps in nigeria,on Kmtyw soil,there are many people who goes to nigeria in search of their roots,Kmt has not only become physically and mentally colonized but also its rich traditions have become prostituted,in brazil in camdomble, white people get into it to become rich meanwhile, the ones who are helping dem are getting even more poor, i was once told by this babalawo who is diasporan like us
" dont expect to get blessings without putting nothing in return" he meant the more we pay the more we get blessings,those materialistic,capitalistic people in the tradition needs to go:skeleton::sniper:
so far, nobody can give a logical explanation which deity has come from orun
and said we have to give 10 000 dollars, because of rampant poverty and the social conditions in Kmt,people will charge whatever they want and e even dont know,if they will give us everything we need,some people might  pay all that ammount and not get initiated properly at all:skeleton:
