I missed the ginga and the malicia and all that. Nothing distinctively Capoeira-like in the strategy or technique...at the same time I can see how Capoeira can prepare one for whatever situation including an MMA bout. I just would have like to see him win with Capoeira technique or trademark Capoeira deception or something along those lines...this is more like, "Hey, a guy who happens to train Capoeira just slammed this guy and started busting his face." Not too much different from, "Hey, a guy who happens to train anything else did the same"...:-X

If you're talking about the video in post # 3 then yes. He shows various Capoeira technique in there. His attempt to pass the guard with those vertical kicks was especially nice.

You mentioned the absence of Malicia, I wonder if this is a regional thing. I wonder how an angoleiro in mma would fight.
