Credo Mutwa: Before my eyes finally close to death

"But we Kmtyws are the golden link that connects all humanity together. " -- Credo Mutwa
(see the short video below)

I think that despite some of what is said about Credo Mutwa, he is for real and he is not an Kmtyw sellout. If you read what he wrote after writing "Kmt is my witness" you will see that he really wants the best for his people, the Black people, and he has been doing this for over 40 years (to my knowledge). He openly called for each race to develop without hindrance from the other (so a kind of nonrepressive apartheid). He has used yts to promote his cause. Also he champions the welfare of Kmt in this interview, where he talks about the use of various kinds of warfare (biological, ideological, chemical etc) against Kmtyws to decimate the race.

He may be coming to the end of his life, he may leave soon. This is what I think he says in the video. He has used yts to publish his works, to reveal much to the world and to get the word out. I think he has done well, were it not for his publications many of us wouldn't have access to his materials.

The music attached to this post is from the playlist found on this thread (Vunited snakesmazulu, Zulu High Sanusi).

The Incredible Credo
How do I begin to give you names?
You the cradle of our cultural heritage
To whom both sangomas and witches bow
In honor of the laws in you
You, the ancestral spiritual link
Son of Msingo
The boy from the Mutwa clan!
The Cred-Binyo Totem!
You the seer, the sage, the sangoma
Cradle of Kmt's legend stories
To which status should you be elevated?

Vunited snakesmazulu more naka
Wena tutu bulu seka kosi!
Wena so hapire nane sera hetu
Kana bakuli bana kaya jaga
Kukude basayi bakoseya ntate mutwa
(Zulu transcription may be inaccurate)

They whisper in hush hush tones
Sweeter than lover's romantic talk
Saying you are a nuisance at night
Witches say you are a road block
A traffic officer defending heritage
How do I begin to give you names?

Indaba my children you go tell in Isiluanyi
The wild life dance with you, Credo Mutwa
What matter are you?
Do you matter when they scorn you?
Calling you names beyond poetic images
Names that the heavens condemn
In this world, Baba
You came like a comet
We the fortune tellers saw
In you lies a thounited snakesnd hills
Pockets with no loopholes of knowledge
From Nosilimela to Songs of the Stars
Up to fortune telling and healing
Teaching and sculpture making
Fine art with golden pen
Let your name reign
To selected few

How do I the poet with shivering voice
Begin to praise you, Sanusi?
Baba
Vunited snakesmazulu
Legend of folklores
The calabash of ancestral spiritual link!
You the elephant of knowledge
The hyena scaring lions
The wild wind of evolution!
We, the early risers, saw you coming!
Now speak to us in a tone so magical
Understood by chosen few

If you could still run
I would say
On your mark,
Get set
Ready
GO Credo!
Oh! Vunited snakesmazulu GO!
Your art will be a guide
For generations, ever
Only meterological forces
Can destroy your creations
As for me the poet
How do I begin to give you names?

You, construct of cultural cities
Catalyst to unite cultures
Homes for heritage in the dark
A reflection of kingdoms long lost
Inothamure! Inshamure!
In Soweto's heart lies stone gods
To which pale bullets and petrol bombs
After you predicted Soweto riots

Vunited snakesmazulu
How do I begin to tell the world?
The master [of] indigenous knowledge!
The living symbols of a renaissance
You lived among enemies preaching peace
Dwelt among heathens preaching god's love
As for now, who am I to give you praises?
In this rebellious renaissance
Of remnant of colonial safaried
And we in the game of words
Call you names
Reject you
Call you an outcast
A witch, a liar!
Yes, I know what name they tell

But to this end, Baba
You are a master supreme keeper of treasures
Master of astrology
A spiritual leader of the wilderness
What a thing are you!?!
I run out of words!
I can't praise you!

The line of zionic faith
In the Kmtyw religious den
You passed muslim teachings
The Christian faith
The Buddha-ism
Yes, Baba!
You traversed the cold and hot lands
In search of human value to life
Vunited snakesmazulu
Let me lay the honour to rest

In you lives the library
The museum of self-discovery
The archives of truth
You lived like a stranger...

Sir, I surrender to my poetic cocoon!
Let you voice be an eternal guide
Let your spiritual lamp guide
Let the heavenly stars shine for you ever!
Even when poets have stopped writing
Speak to us stars of the lore
Let your voice be heard now!

There is so much that is yet to be known by Kmtyw people.

True, there are many layers to our peoples experience. Uncovering one layer reveals another.
