[When the earthworm gives reverence to the earth, the earth opens its mouth]

Ewúrẹ́ tí kìí júbà, ó dáràn àmúso
[A goat that doesn't give reverence he/she creates a problem (i.e. commits an offense with the punishment of) being taken and tied]

Omọdé kìí júbà kí ìbà pa á
[The child who doesn't give reverence, reverence should kill him/her]

L'ónìí, Solwazi máa fẹ́ Bia
[Today Solwazi will marry Bia]

Orí yín yóò jẹ́ a rántí ọjọ́ yìí sí rere
[Your heads will allow us to remember this day as good]

Ẹlẹ́dàá yín kò níí jẹ́ a rántí ọjọ́ yìí bú sẹkún
[Your creator will not allow us to remember this day and burst out into tears]

Ẹ tì wọ́n lẹ́yìn
[Y'all, support them]

Kí wọ́n ṣe àṣeyọrí
[That they may be successful]

Kí wọ́n rọ́nà gbà láyé tìwọn
[May they find a path in their lives (literally world)]

Níwọ̀yí ọdún, kí Bia rọ́mọ bí
[Within the short time of a year, May Bia see a child to give birth to]

Kí ọwọ́ Bia á gbọ́mọ tuntun
[May the hand of Bia carry a new child]

?

Kí ó lè gbọ́mọ pọn
[May she be able to carry a child on her back]

Ọmọ ọkùnrin àbíró
[A male child who is born to stand erect]

?

Ọmọ obìnrin àbíró
[A female child who is born to stand erect]

?

Kí ìfẹ́ wọn ó tálẹ́
[May their love last until night (i.e. until the end of their lives)]

?

Ìbà tó tó tó, a júbà!
[Reverence tó tó tó (the sound of giving reverence to one who deserves it), we give reverence]
