Blacknificent .!!!

The oppressed, having internalized the image of the oppressor and adopted his guidelines, are fearful of freedom.
Paulo Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed
"Intellectuals ought to study the past not for the pleasure they find in so doing, but to derive lessons from it"

@kevlew, how so?

The energy and sincere passion in that room was truly inspiring. It was good to hear some have action behind words and are doing work.  There is definitely a Pan--Kmtyw presence in that room..good to see and hear.

I watched the Coconut Revolution with my eldest son.  It is a true testament to the human spirit of self determination , self-reliance etc etc. it shows what Dr. Bobby Wright explains in the moment of truth what Kmtyws are capable of.

Forums like these will have a lasting impact on the thinking of those attendees.  You can see it on some of the faces of the people.  You can see the thoughts almost as things are said.

Something else I noticed is the way all those empty seats up front are. People are sitting very scattered and isolated.  Only reason I noticed that is because in college my black history teacher would not start class until we all moved up front and filled in the seats. Funny how things stick with you.

Yes, there are good ideas that are getting into the mix and these are translating into good actions. That's the point of what I'm doing is to let people understand that the two are linked. It's very inspiring indeed. We're getting our list of films together for the rest of the semester now. That's a good idea on how to remedy the scattered seating.
