The Beembe langage (H.11 in Guthrie's classification of the Bantu Languages),
spoken in the vicinity of Mouyondzi (People's Republic of Congo), shows some peculiarities by contrast with other Koongo languages.
Beembe is a Koongo language showing affinities with lanuages belonging to other neighboring groups (Njabi, bete, Teké).
A vocabulary of words based upon 720 lexical forms completes this presentation.
