Pat Robertson: Haiti "Cursed" After "Pact to the Devil"

NEW YORK (CBS) Pat Robertson, the American Christian televangelist and host of "The 700 Club," said that Haitians need to have a "great turning to god" while he was reporting on the devastating 7.0 earthquake that shook the island nation — the most powerful to hit the country in a century.
As Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive said "well over" 100,000 people may have died in the natural disaster, Robertson took to the airwaves Wednesday on his show and said that the country has been "cursed by one thing after another" since they "swore a pact to the devil."

"Something happened a long time ago in Haiti and people might not want to talk about," Robertson said Tuesday.

"They were under the heel of the French, you know Napoleon the third and whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said 'We will serve you if you will get us free from the prince.' True story. And so the devil said, 'Ok it's a deal.' And they kicked the French out. The Haitians revolted and got something themselves free. But ever since they have been cursed by one thing after another," Robertson said.

Don't mind Pat Robertson. He shouldn't be the one to talk about making pacts with the devil, seeing as it has been shown he is an asset for the illuminati, he's even been caught using their "El Diablo" sign language.

As usual, it is the less aware folk who already buy into this oppressive and historically evil institution known as christianity that will believe the devil worshipper and con-artist known as Pat Robertson accusing others of what he does. It's rather ironic, but also unfortunate.

Letter to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, in response to Associated  
Press report about evangelical broadcaster Pat Robertson's statement  
that Haiti has been "cursed" because of what he called a "pact with  
the devil" in its history:

Dear Pat Robertson, I know that you know that all press is good press,  
so I appreciate the shout-out. And you make God look like a big mean  
bully who kicks people when they are down, so I'm all over that  
action. But when you say that Haiti has made a pact with me, it is  
totally humiliating. I may be evil incarnate, but I'm no welcher. The  
way you put it, making a deal with me leaves folks desperate and  
impoverished. Sure, in the afterlife, but when I strike bargains with  
people, they first get something here on earth -- glamour, beauty,  
talent, wealth, fame, glory, a golden fiddle. Those Haitians have  
nothing, and I mean nothing. And that was before the earthquake.  
Haven't you seen "Crossroads"? Or "Damn Yankees"? If I had a thing  
going with Haiti, there'd be lots of banks, skyscrapers, SUVs,  
exclusive night clubs, Botox -- that kind of thing. An 80 percent  
poverty rate is so not my style. Nothing against it -- I'm just  
saying: Not how I roll. You're doing great work, Pat, and I don't want  
to clip your wings -- just, come on, you're making me look bad. And  
not the good kind of bad. Keep blaming God. That's working. But leave  
me out of it, please. Or we may need to renegotiate your own contract.
