--- Older freeware (free software) that usually gets the job done ---

Just like you should be backing up your pc's hard drive (especially your personal data files), you should copy your cds/dvds when possible & use the copy to play/install/etc. (keep the original safe from being lost, scratched, etc.)

As usual for things you buy regularly, if possible, buy the cds/dvds in bulk when on sale  - it's better to have & not need, than to need & not have ....

- Rips a DVD (take off copyright/encryption) so you can make an image copy of it (.iso) or VIDEO_TS folder files of it

- Let's you edit the ripped DVD file/s, & add other .iso or VIDEO_TS folder files together into 1  .iso or VIDEO_TS folder file
