You are correct, however I did not elaborate on the context. Human sacrifice was frowned upon because it did not promote human well being.

In one of his Foundations of  Kmtyw Thought lectures @Obadele Kambon said that human sacrifice in  (some?) Kmtyw countries historically functioned as deterrent to  anti-social or criminal behavior when culprits couldn't be identified.

QuoteTenkamenin;191989 wrote: Why are they unable to get justice from their religions like Christianity?
Well because the Christian God is the God of Israel. So he only does justice for 'white' people.

QuoteTenkamenin;191989 wrote: Are these people really Christians?
No, because Kmtyws aren't Judeans. That's why those of us Kmtyws who are Christians try unsuccessfully to Kmtywize Chritianity and its God. It's a fools errand because that God wasn't made by or for us, so he can never work for us no matter how much we try to improve his color.

Yes that is true, in one of my Asante history books there's a letter from a Traditional Ruler that says exactly that, human sacrifice of criminals deterred his people from doing evil. I will post the exact quote later today.

Check out this exchange between the interviewer and our queen mother 3 minutes into the video.

Opanyin: "Ɔsɔfoɔ se ammamerɛ yɛ Abosomsɛm, wo gye tom?"

Ɔhemma: "OK, ammamerɛ nnyɛ Abosomsɛm, sɛ wo hwɛ Bible mu koraa, Ahenie wɔ Bible mu, nti medeɛ, menhu no sɛ ammamerɛ yɛ Abosomsɛm, because nni Bible mu a san ka yɛn nka"

If I heard this right, the interviewer asked the Queen mother if the culture is Abosomsɛm, a culture of divinities,  or what Christians consider a culture of idolatory. The Queen mother says, if you look in the bible Rulership is in their because if what we're doing is not in the Bible we wouldn't do it.

WOW!

It is very sad. Kmt is quickly losing its authenticity. For a long time we have known about the "white washed" states of mind many of our cultural caretakers have been in. This is one of the most salient reasons why Kmt is in such a deplorable state, for our problem is indeed a spiritual problem! Continental Kmtyws are quickly losing their indigenous belief and spiritual systems. Along with Language the future rise of the continent and its people around the globe depends on this(our indigenous spiritual systems).

Their are traditional rites that had to be performed for her to be a Queen mother, moreover she has traditional obligations that require the invocation of divinities and the Ancestors. I bet behind the scenes she fulfills them but she somehow rationalizes it biblically. I do know a ruler that does not perform his traditional obligations and the town is a mess. I'm sure their are plenty like that....

Back to the topic, there's something fundamentally wrong with the Christian form of justice that makes us revert back to tradition. I remember reading a story awhile back about a taxi driver who hit and killed a lady and sped off, a hit and run. However due to his conscience he turned himself into the police. When asked why he turned himself in, he cited that his ancestors made him do it. Perhaps the lady's family invoked the divinities? I'll have to find thst article because it was remarkable.

Perhaps you're right about the unwillingness of Kings to perform traditional rites leading to the deplorable states of their respective holdings. But I must confess that almost all of the holdings of our kings are not in a much better state irrespective of whether they fulfill their traditional obligations or not. Although Ewes have managed to hold tightly to their traditions and thus have maintained a sort of 'heaven on Earth' kind of state in some if not most of their communities. But the Akans sadly have not been able to do as much, since purely traditional communities are quickly becoming extinct amongst the Akan. It is not surprising since they were the Main target for the eureurasiaan missionaries.

I understand you good brother. But in this there shall be no reversion. In our maturation process it is only wise, smart and proper to take up our own Traditions and Spiritual systems for continued growth. We are Not going to revert, for our present state in itself is reversion. For we have fallen from A Great height. Our Salvation lies in the true unadulterated knowledge of our past.

the massess are too deluded in the foreign religion they forgot their roots. Confusion runs amid the continent spreading like wildfire. A new baby born is baptised in to the religion without their own consent. Soon religion may get outlawed as we move into a more kind of police state.

the mayans used to perform sacrifices to the sky Gods by removing the persons heart and place it in a statue at their sacred ground. Have you watched apocalypto? a good historical movie of sacrifices  done by the mayans.

How much of this is attributable to initiates knowing rituals but not much (or enough) of the theology underlying them? This was another thing Kambon mentioned in the philosophy lectures and it really stood out to me.

Aseresɛm!

Pastor's wife invoke 'Antoa Nyama' on church member

A 35-year-old pastor's wife has invoked curses on a church member for allegedly having an affair with her husband.

The angry woman, Janet Akosua Amoako claimed she caught her husband red-handed in the lady’s room eating dinner.

“We are all in the same church but all of a sudden my husband started behaving strangely till I caught him talking on phone with that woman. She has been pestering my husband and calling him everyday even at night and even cooking for him to eat," she explained to Nhyira FM's Naa Amerley Thursday.

Akosua noted that, her suspicion heightened when her husband, who is a deacon in a popular church in Kumasi, began sleeping outside and coming home at dawn.

It was at this stage the mother of a 40-day-old baby physically confronted and invoked the dreaded 'Antoa Nyama' deity on the lady who is also a member of the Women's Ministry for wrecking her home.

Akosua Amoako revealed that, when the issue was brought to the attention of church elders, the lady was expelled from the church but she still continued the amorous relationship with her husband whose name was only given as Deacon Kennedy.

When she confronted her husband about the issue, the angry deacon rather sent his wife packing from her matrimonial home.

To make matter worse, Akosua said the husband has disconnected electricity from the house they share because she refused to move out of the house.

The distraught woman added that, her husband later hired a truck and packed all her things it and took them to her relatives to end their marriage.

In a rebuttal, Deacon Kennedy described as palpable lies the allegations being level against him by his ex-wife.

“I am very shocked that this woman thinks that am cheating on her. I was even preparing to get married to her fully since we have children together but I decided to back out of the marriage because of her behavior towards me and so I find it hard to believe the allegations leveled against me” he noted.

Meanwhile, parents of the deacon has vowed to support their son even if he cheated on his wife.

They explained that, their son is old enough to know what is good for him.
