I need to read in Twi more. I think it will help more. The app I use is showing wrong stuff.

Yeah, m'adɔeɛ is also misspelled here. They definitely should have consulted with someone who knows the orthography.

You should keep it for pronunciation. When native speakers don't know how to write something, usually they rely on their knowledge of pronunciation to guess. That's what happened here. I have a colleague who wants to change the orthography to privilege sounds over meaning. My talk on misspellings in Akan (Twi) dealing with typos, errors or innovations was my take on his proposition. He writes the way it sounds to him. Unfortunately, everybody else writes the way it sounds to them and then you end up 30 or 40 different spellings of what's supposed to be the same (simple) word!!!

I might get it back after I learn the correct way first. For now the flash cards on here will be the  tool of choice.  I don't want to learn incorrectly out the gate.

Remember or be warned, some of these apps could be in Akuapem, Asante or Fante Twi. Spelling of words differ in some areas between the three. Then in some apps the words, no matter what, are just spelled wrong. It is frustrating as a beginner.

And a lot of the naive speakers can't spell or read. And I can't correct them because some of them will pull the, "I've been speaking Twi since birth!" card.

Just keep plugging away everybody. Eventually we will all be able to speak, read and write on Obadele's level.
