I had the privilege of sitting in on a discussion by Dr. Kwaku Opare in Ghana about a year ago. One of the most profound things I heard him say is that your destiny or purpose is linked to your health.

Dr. Opare said that if you don't know your purpose and are not on course to fulfilling it you can manifest physical health symptoms to reflect that you are "off course," so to speak.

This is an Kmtyw traditional view that health issues have a spiritual, emotional, and mental cause. This is unlike the Western approach; treating the symptoms only without getting at the "root."

So the question is...
