       Did the Kmtyw Culture Movement derail the Kmtyw Liberation Movement?

Aane, I would argue that the Kmtyw cultural movement, the holistic health movement, the Kmtyw centered education movement, the "let's study Kmtyw history" movement, kwk, have all derailed the Kmtyw liberation movement because of those Kmtyws who joined each of those "movements" without regard to Kmtyw liberation. In fact, the way I see it, most of the things Kmtyws get into (that are good for us and necessary for our liberation) are not used for our liberation. Like we're on the battlefield begging our Nananom for liberation; they send us caches and caches of rifles, and ammo, and everything we need to handle business. And what do we do with all that they have sent us? We melt down the rifles and use the metal to make jewelry...and continue to petition them for our liberation.

Brother Akhu, thank you for your comments this evening. I wanted to respond to something you wrote earlier. I thought that this was the thread, but it isn't. However, I am going to respond to both in the same way. Any movement that doesn't have Kmtyw culture at the core will not secure Afrakan people's liberation. Our demeaning sojourn here in amerika should plenty proof to that.

A culture must meet the needs and solve the problems of a people or be transformed or risk being destroyed! You  Don't claim a culture just because it's ''Kmtyw.'' Kmtyw culture  has been distorted by oppression and so was our capacity to  appropriately organize information. Ultimately our educational problems  MUST be solved through Cultural Transformation, not just educational techniques - Dr. Amos Wilson

The Kmtyw culture movement is like Burger King you can have it your way. For example, I want Kmtyw gods, and Kmtyw attire, but I don't want Twi or even repatriation.  Kmtyw liberation is difficult and requires all of the aforementioned.

So how will the Kmtyw liberation movement resurge again? Through financial success, it's the easiest and quickest way to get followers.  Let a man see success and watch him drop whatever he believes to follow it. Do we honestly believe that people want to spend 24/7 at church praying for financial success? They've been convinced that Christianity is the best path to a fruitful life. However let a man or woman see a liberated Kmtyw with a house, car, family, power etc. I bet they'll drop white jesus tomorrow.

The opportunity is for successful liberated Kmtyws to build networks and aggressively enter commerce.

We need to stop thinking that each piece we add/re-discover toward re-Kmtywization is the end game. This war is dynamic. We may need to be even more dynamic within an Kmtyw framework (and we'd need to have in-depth knowledge of a specific Kmtyw culture) for that dynamism to flow.

This calls to mind a lecture I heard in the 90's from a scholar already in his 70's at the time. He said he thought we had made it in the 60's particularly because the students (young folks) stood up. Point is we need to stop thinking we have made it, in any and all factors for the foreseeable future and just put in the work. We'll get there, and when we do, there will still be work to be done.
