Intensive Workshop: Akan (Twi) Language Round Table Topic: Proverbs

Why:   This workshop took place on June 15, 2012 and covered 59 proverbs set   up in the manner of the famous Akan proverb game where each successive   proverb either continues the thought of the previous one or contradicts   it. This game requires deep knowledge and understanding of numerous   proverbs to play successfully. Each proverb is given and explained in   Twi and then translated into english.
 
The  goal of this particular workshop was to complement our classes with   instructor-moderated open dialogue focused on a specific area of   mastery: Proverbs. Proverbs are essential for learning worldview,   vocabulary, the spiritual system, culture and more.
