What Is The Role of the Healer?

A healer needs to see beyond the present and tomorrow. He needs to see years and decades ahead. Because healers work for results so firm they may not be wholly visible till centuries have flowed into millennia. — Ayi Kwei Armah

The role of the healer is to first help the person identify and remove the cause of the problem. Only then do they nudge the client/patient back towards balance with the transmission of grace/Qi/Shakti/Reiki/prana/life/healing force, while simultaneously helping them learn and understand how to properly care for themselves.
The person wanting to heal them-self must gain clarity in first knowing he/she is whole perfect and complete. That because they are experiencing illness or pain, does not mean they are defective or broken. The disease is not the problem. The symptoms are a gift from the divine to help guide us in returning to proper balance and righteousness.

The root of disease is the individual's/communities'/planets' living in disharmony with the natural universe. Paradoxically, in a sick society lack of dis-ease may itself be a problem. Most often this disharmony comes from a pattern of false belief that in my book The Rule Book And User Guide For Healthy Living I describe as the matrix. It is a falsification of consciousness — a substitution/imposition of a persons natural cosmological spiritual and psychic consciousness and subconscious with a one foreign to them that operates in service to those that implanted that foreign mind in them. Kobi K. K. Kambon termed this cultural misorientation. Amos Wilson termed it Falsification of Kmtyw consciousness.  R. Goldsmith called it mesmeric suggestion. It is what allows us to disregard and disobey the guidelines for our life we agreed to in the spirit world before we incarnated in this life.
Symptoms are a gift from the divine to help in guiding one towards fulfilling their agreed mission in life. Awareness and acceptance of ones symptoms, thereby gaining clarity that disease itself is simply a message from the divine to guide us to identifying the root problem. Removing it is the fundamental task of healing.
Although in the spirit of compassion this rule is sometimes broken, the healer must always have the intention to give/transmit healing energy only when the patient/client is willing and able to remove the cause of said problem and then moves to cooperate with their own healing.  Demonstrating support for their own health, as evidenced by an affirmative transitioning into a new permanent habitual program of natural self care and maintenance, is the truest indication for the healer that the patient is ready to receive transmission of the healing force. A healer who continues to transmit healing life force to a person simply because they ask for it or pay for it disrespects the precious healing force itself (which is in the kindness of the divine the only source of healing power) squandering and wasting it because failing to remove the cause will mean the problem will not ever completely go away.  It will temporarily abate, leading to wasteful repeated healing transmissions.  On a spiritual level, attempting to heal a person who will not help him or herself is not helping them at all. It is enabling them to disregard the messages they are receiving from the divine and thus is interfering with the patient's process for proper actualization of their gifted purpose in life. The misguided healer may interrupt disease process from serving as a guide for changing the patients' mind/behavior to harmonize with natural law.

A healer's job is to first know that the healer himself and by extension spiritually, the patient is whole perfect and complete. Secondly they must communicate to the patient the knowledge that they can heal their problem, but only through a permanent change in their thought and behavior. The healer helps the patient interpret their symptoms and learn to respect them. You cannot heal without teaching. The healer and teacher are one in the same.
As a healer it is difficult to acknowledge that some people do not want to heal. They desire to remain in disease. They do not want to accept their responsibility to care for themselves. They do not want to change. However they do not want to feel bad. They want to spend their or someone else's money on a cure that will allow them to not do the work of healing. Healing which can be evidenced only by change in thought and behavior. They seek to duck their prenatal/perinatal agreed upon duty to live in harmony with their body and the planet. The unscrupulous "healer" will prey upon people of this type and enrich themselves by abating their symptoms and even curing them over and over again. To do this is to disrespect God. All healing energy originates in the divine and is not to be wasted on heedless reprobates from wellness.
The healer in trying to have those who apply for his/her services, not suffer needlessly, must balance their personal need for sustenance/income, the patients superficial appearance of sincerity in a desire to heal and, the patients addiction to separation from their own divine appointment in the incarnate form in order to make a plan and decision on whether to move forward or not. We cannot help all people. We build bad karma helping those who will not help themselves in order to make a living from what may be an excellent customer.
The healer must be the consummate teacher and motivator and must have clear understanding that all of his patients have the ability to heal any problem they may encounter. The healer must teach his patient to understand their symptoms and their cause. They must teach/show/demonstrate to their clients how to care for themselves and follow their rulebook and user guide.
The healer must know when to back off and let their patient suffer and learn. We cannot make the parched man drink we can only show them that water exists.
Some clients want to die. That is their choice. Many cannot admit this to themselves or others and as such this is sometimes why they fail to heed their illness and learn to change when the opportunity to do so presents itself.
Healing is not curing
Many clients/patients are hopelessly stuck/jacked into the Matrix of false belief. They want to believe that doctors can and do understand all that is needed to fix anything and control any biological process. They refuse to even attempt to make the leap of faith that healing requires because the Matrix has enabled the very mindset that the body is a mechanistic system that it can be understood and controlled by man and the only thing needed is to find a smarter or more experienced, wiser, harder working and/or, better educated person/paradigm/institution that understands and thus can cure/fix their problem. The occupant of the matrix is eager to part with their own or someone else's money to, finally fix the problem that other less capable quacks have failed to fix.
The medical industrial complex feeds on this false belief. They pimp the cure and sell the idea that a cure is healing when in fact they are distinct and different concepts. Many practitioners exploit this weakness/false belief. The healer knows that they cannot tell the patient what the matrix is she/he can only show their clients. Even then when shown incontrovertible evidence of the matrix, many if not most will refuse to even consider its existence. They will steadfastly cling to the false belief in the superiority of occidental/euro-american intellect/intellectual Darwinism and the mechanistic lie that biological systems can be understood and controlled. Part of the great tragedy of this system is that many give up hope of healing believing that because of their station in life or karma that they will never be able to access the pinnacle/oracle of medicine. They give up and accept disease and disability as their fate. Many false healers exploit this weakness/false belief.
No one can heal you but you
If you want to heal you must change, you know you have healed when your thoughts and behavior have permanently transitioned into new ones that are in harmony with MAAT, your life purpose and divine order, thereby harmonizing with natural law.
Having said the aforementioned, we must be aware that some disease has external cause that the person is susceptible to because their failing to follow their rulebook and users guide. Some problems have roots so deep and so wide that they are beyond the individual. A healer cannot heal these patients. The healer must often work therefore at levels deeper and wider than the individual. The healer must accept that the work they do may not have visible effect during their lifetime. They must accept that provided they approached the patient sincerely, more often than not, their patients' poor outcome is not the healer's fault. Often the failure of their patient to heed and learn and or accept the healing force transmission is due to larger forces that are beyond the human ability to conceive of in this time space frame of reference. It is in this knowledge that the healer understands that all healing is in the nexus of the patient and God. The healer must be of absolute faith in the grace of god and must at the same time be an intrepid warrior for righteousness and MAAT.
We are in or are approaching Isfet
We live in a very sick time on this planet. There is much disorder. The problem is disharmony on the part of humanity with the universe. This disharmony may be on multiple levels from personal to global. Thusly some disease cannot be healed by the individual him/herself but must be healed by the community/village/nation/planet.
There are forces that have much power that appear to be bent on the consumption/destruction of all that is life. The healer must be clear that they cannot heal a sick child without healing the sick village. The healer must understand that they cannot heal the individual in isolation from their milieu, the planet. The healer must accept that they may not in this lifetime see benefit of the work that they do but nevertheless must with honesty and integrity and steadfast earnestness do what must be done because it is the right thing to do.

ONLY THOSE WHO WANT TO HEAL CAN BE HEALED

The Warrior healer must also know that most slaves do not want to be freed. They refuse to acknowledge that slavery even exists. They seek to become like their enslavers and recoil at any suggestion of escape or separation from them. They have compassion for their enlsavers and seek to heal them from their rapacious evil. They cannot see themselves as insane for not wanting to escape. They are suffering from  terminal malignant reverse drapetomania. (The mental illness of a slave who to their death has no desire to escape their enslavement)

See my other post on reverse drapetomania.
