In the video above at the 2:23 mark, he says this is Amenemhat III (Middle Kingdom), but Merenptah's (New Kingdom) names are written clearly on the Snw on his chest and right shoulder.
On the shoulder is Merenptah's throne name:

bꜣ-n-rꜥ mri-imn (Note that on the bust, the n is on top of the bꜣ rather than below as shown here)
On the chest is Merenptah's birth name:

mri-n-ptḥ ḥtp-ḥr-mꜣꜥt
https://pharaoh.se/pharaoh/Merenptah

Compare the names of Amenemhat III:

Amenemhat III's birth name:

imn-m-ḥꜣt
Amenemhat III's throne name:

ni-mꜣꜥt-rꜥ
Amenemhat III's golden Hr name:

wꜥḥ-ꜥnḫ
Amenemhat III's nebty name:

iṯi-iwꜣt-tꜣwi
Amenemhat III's Hr name:

ꜥꜣ-bꜣw
https://pharaoh.se/pharaoh/Amenemhat-III

The lesson is to learn mdw nTr for oneself as, even those who mean well, if they are not able to read, there will be inevitable issues.

And apparently, not a single person in the group is literate either. Maybe good for self-esteem, but bad for serious scholarship. The sad part is that the core of his thesis is correct. They put the images of eureurasian infiltrators on front street and deprecate rulers and others who are clearly Kmtyw=Black. The same thing could be done in modern-day Ghana as there are 'nuff lebanese and others here that in a thounited snakesnd years they could put together a museum exhibit and claim that Ghana was a lebanese colony with minimal contribution by Kmtyws=Blacks. But the core thesis is undercut by being non-literate and thus mistaking Merenptah for Amenemhat III. This would be like going to the lincoln memorial that's clearly labeled as the lincoln memorial and then calling him thomas jefferson and then going off into an exposition on thomas jefferson -- and for no-one in the crowd to know any better than the one doing the talking. But that wouldn't happen since, apparently, more people can read english than mdw nTr. :hello:

I am inclined to reach out to him.

@kevlew, do you know him personally? If he'd be receptive, I say go for it. There's another video I just looked at where he said the glyph for i was mry (ironic, given his wife's name) and then said the glyph for mry was imn. He means well, but at least at the time of those videos, he was clearly non-literate to the point of not even being able to identify the second letter of the conventional uniliteral alphabet.

I have met him in Philly.  I believe I can get in touch with him via a mutual friend.  Worth a try.

I say go for it. I saw another video that was actually critiquing this specific video of him going through the museum but that video didn't mention the fact that he's talking about Merenptah but was saying it was Amenemhat III. Apparently the creator of that video couldn't read any more mdw nTr than he could and was just salty that he was making the points that he was making, which are actually valid.

Abibifahodie abosua,

This is really eye opening! Although I've never met the elder (Ashes Kwesi) I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. What you pointed out though, is legit. "Meaning well" or having good intentions is great, but if you're giving our incorrect information, then ultimately that's furthering Eureurasian terror and domination.

With that said, what would be better sources to learn/study the mdu ntr for oneself? Of course, the class offered by abibitumikasa goes without saying.

I think he deserves respect for the work he has done. At the same time pointing out incorrect information actually helps him in the face of unfriendly fire that comes his way. I'd recommend Baba Bonotchi's Mdw Ntr class here at AK and anyone who has studied with Prof Obenga.

The lesson is to learn mdw nTr for oneself as, even those who mean well, if they are not able to read, there will be inevitable issues.
Went back to revisit this.   I think one of the mistakes is using the convention of calling the ancestors 2nd,3rd, or 4th...and not using their actual names.  I would rather see where we start using the actual names and not that convention.  Even not using pharaoh to describe as that is not an indigenous name either. This might eliminate some of the mistakes as it would make one inclined to tread the snw.

Thinking out loud....
"Intellectuals ought to study the past not for the pleasure they find in so doing, but to derive lessons from it"

@kevlew, all of his names are above. While that's a BlackNificent suggestion, I think the issue here is not knowing how to read any of the names that are carved right there more than not knowing 4 additional names. I don't think this would have happened if it was written in english.

@Obadele Kambon. I see...I was checking out the list of rulers posted in the mdw ntr forum.  Seems that convention of 1st, 2nd, etc...was common.  I wonder was that an invention by so called Egyptologist or an indigenous practice.  I can't remember where I heard or read that the concept of dynasties was an Egyptologist thing....I think it was a recent Dr. Beatty lecture.

Right, that's a convention. I'm saying that it's tangential to the main point of learning how to read period.

Oh ok on the convention.   Yes I agree, learning to read is the main point.

What you're bringing up would be more in play if, say, he said it was Amenemhat III and really it was Amenemhat II or I. Then you could be like maybe you wouldn't get so mixed up if you weren't following that convention and instead said Nubkaura or Sehotepibra instead of Nimaatra. Here, he was a good 600 years off and there was no such mix-up that could have been clarified by adding throne names into the mix.
