Why should not afrocentrists reject Christianity
I consider myself as an afrocentrist scholar, this can by verified by the stance of my published books and scientific articles, but I don't enter into the band-wagon of the majority of afrocentrists who think that Christianity must be rejected; my opinion is that such a trend is counter-productive.
I offer here an analogy which will highlight the validity of my stand. In order to help the reader understand this analogy, I must first explain the difference between the solar epistemology and the lunar one. It is known that "the anti-spiritual and pro-material views of the West" (Asante, 2008: p. 48) leads them to base their thinking of following presuppositions:
•   Reality is material,
•   The senses do tell us the truth,
•   The universe is uniform, i.e. it includes laws that the scientist can discover and generalize.
It is very important to point out that these presuppositions can never be demonstrated to be true; they are accepted a priori. Thus the validity of the western paradigm rests in reality not on its truth-correspondence (the correspondence between what it tells us and what nature really is), rather it is built on its truth-coherence and on its pragmatism. Moreover the a posteriori validity of the solar epistemology are based on the following facts:
•   Reality is spiritual,
•   Any truth is revelation,
•   Any truth is included in the knowledge of God,
•   Matter is only a limited perspective on spiritual reality
These demonstrable truths falsify the very foundations of the lunar epistemology (Luyaluka, 2016 a). It is impossible for the western civilization to be based on the solar paradigm because this approach of science is at odds with its epistemological foundational convictions. This truism can be verified in the history of Christianity where we learn that, confronted to the lingering Hebrew solar epistemology, the Greeks had to deny the immortality of the soul, which is the corner stone of solar episteme (Luyaluka, 2016 a); eventually this led to a lunar approach of Christianity: scholastic Christianity.
Let us now suppose that nowadays Ghana is invaded this very year by an alien colony of lunar civilization, i.e. a western materialistic people. In order to exploit the Akans these aliens invaders adopt the Akan religion. Naturally they will transpose this Kmtyw indigenous religion into a lunar one to be in accord with their normal materialistic epistemic culture.
Now let us be projected a century away in the future of this Akan society battered by the domineering lunar civilization. In this future slumbering Akan culture there is however a bunch of afrocentric scholars struggling to overthrown the materialistic lunar negative influence of the West on their society. Knowing that their culture was brilliant traditionally based on spiritual values these awakened scholars, like the majority of the nowadays afrocentrists, will face the following dilemma:
•   To throw the lunar western Akan religion and create anew the Kmtyw indigenous religion, that is, to create anew the solar religion; though as Ama Mazama explains, this creation will not be "ab novo", since "it will be based on traditions created by our ancestors throughout Kmt" (Mazama, 2015, p. 33).
•   To claim the solar heritage of their culture; thus work to reinstate the Akan religion, that is, to reinstate the solar religion.
History teaches us that the solar and the lunar trends take turn every three thounited snakesnd years (Luyaluka, 2016 a); though the solar epistemology lingers after the end of its normal cycle. The last solar phase of this cycle has seen the rise of Sumer and Egypt in 4.000 BCE. These highly spiritually based civilizations have prophesied the return of the solar cycle in the present century; this implies that the lunar phase of the cycle ended with last century, though this is not yet perceptible to the non-initiated eyes.
