We had a deliberation on this issue very recently on a what's app page. My take on it all is the Chinese or eurasian approach to the western block. I worked with a number of eurasian people and I noticed they had a name for foreigners and another name for local. This not only protected them but meant their names remained attached to their values no matter where they were.

If we were to all change our names legally we will be empowering the very machine we want destroyed. I think we should name all generations born as of today with kemetic names but adopt a knick name for western markets because our merchants have always traded with foreign merchants.

The name is important but there are people out there with all kemetic names but wouldn't consider a visit to the land to see what they can do to help.

I like the idea of upholding kemetic names but my opinion is a gradual fade is better than an abrupt change.

Exactly I agree no doubt. Whether it's last or firstname, we must honour the parents who gave the name. The didn't know any better then, but we do, so we can name our children with kemetic names first, middle, last and start a trend that is not costly but effective. Let be honest what good will it do if everybody rushed to change their name? Jobs will be created, paper will be exchanged but we will end up a minimum of $10.00 short per person per name change.

Because that's  who we are and we been made to look like a bunch of have nothing useless beggars and it's so embarrassing. How can it be that the majority of people shaded with black but we don't have a single speaker for black people and some people support everything that tarnish us for fear of retribution from the euroeurasians. The people from Kemet themselves were made up of various Kmtyw people from the Nile Valley region.   They stated that they came from the interior of the Kmtyw continent. . The nation for lack of a better term was the land of black. Kemet means black and with the determinatives will take on different descriptive meanings. For example if the determinative has a man and woman it will mean black people. If the determinative has a circle with a crossroads in it that is the black nation or Land of black people. We find that in all of Kmt they use the "black" as a descriptive for their land and themselves. In Twi for example obibini...where the bibi means black. Same meaning as kmt.  So we are Kmtyw = black.

Also recently there were tests done on DNA of some of the people from Kemet and it was found that they had origins from deep up south (interior of Kmt).

let's try this way : who owns all the records, who controls the owner of the records? Where does the gold cocoa and cola nut get shipped? Does that make sense. If you don't own it paying for it is throwing money down the drain.

If we continue to live in non-Kmtyw countries for generations as you suggested; then we will be empowering non-Kmtyws regardless.

So that $200 they get in a one time fee at the records dept. pales in comparison to $200-$400 per month in utilities across the lifespand of 3 generations. (for example).

If you have somethingn they want & are willing do do business with them then they WILL learn your name and then some. Somone who cannot bother to learn to promounce your name could careless about your life anyway. So why center your identity  (dual identity) around them? Unless there is something you need from them immediately and are presently at a disadvantage to get it. then sure delay changing the name until you are not at a disadvantage, but definitely give all the children Pan-Kmtyw names.

Kreative Force I think you misunderstood my point, I don't encourage setling abroad. I have never liked it and never will. I meant those who have foreign names should educate keep them but ensure their children have black names. Bare in mind my children have English firstnames but the rest are Akan. So in Ghana they are called by their given name but elsewhere they referred. I hope this helps explain

I innerstad you. Though i didn't know you were against settling abroad until now. Why use english names outside of england? Why give them an english name at all if they are not anglos?

To me the reality of having two sets of names or Kmtyw & non-Kmtyw names mixed is very much like being an undercover or double agent. In the short term it may be strategically useful for a few people in dire circumstances. However longterm trying to be two different people with differing worldviews, goals etc. is psychologicaly damaging.

I'm not saying anyone of us is a spy. Just that trying to live with a double-conciousness even to a small degree is not healthy in the long term. Its best we transition from that as soon as possible.
