Yellow fever/visa-gctid256823

Mi kyea mo.

So I'm looking through visa application forms for GH and, apparently, I need to have a yellow fever card in order to apply? I'm Ghanaian born and raised, but unfortunately I don't have a GH passport at the moment, lost my birth in a move so I can't even apply for one. I intend to get sort that out when I'm in Ghana, but for now, I need a visa and  don't want to put those shots in me or my son.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

You can also get a medical exemption from a physician who is agreeable by telling them you have had a serious allergic reaction to a previous vaccination of that type. Like hives and wheezing. And you had to be given an adrenaline shot and a Benadryl shot. Say you thought you were going to die.
