NOT IN MY NAME!

To the authentic Revolutionary Nationalist, Pan-Kmtywist and to would-be  Black "leadership:"

Medaase, Adupe ("thank you") to Professor Griff, to Glen Ford and Black Agenda Report, to the Kmtyw People's Socialist Party,  to Jared Ball, to Esi Ramu (Mark Bolden), to my comrade Sid Wilson, to Brother James Conyers, to Baba Wovoka Sobukwe and to Cynthia McKinney and to all of the other Kmtyws who spoke truth when ideological confusion screamed in our ears. Thank you on behalf of our warrior Ancestors, who showed us how to speak truth to power.

We all should have made our voices heard to let the world know (the Pan-Kmtyw World, especially) that our Liberation Movement is adamantly anti-imperialist, no matter what face represents american imperialism, even when that face claims to be one of ours, especially when that face pretends to be a Black face. That was the test. That moment in history was our trial of ordeal. Did we fail it? We traded the integrity of our Movement for a very small piece of the pie that is rotting in our swollen bellies. We chose to assuage our wounded souls with a false victory and a false hope. We chose to betray our brothers and sisters (ourselves) by supporting AFRICOM (occupation of the Motherland), war in Afghanistan, support of Israeli imperialism, economic sanctions against Zimbabwe, drone slaughters, the National Defense Authorization Act, bolstering of the federal reserve, "saving" wall street in an anti-human capitalist system... the list goes on. In America, our people are losing houses and jobs, and filling the cells of the prison corporations and the armed forces which line the pockets of the fat cats.
 
This is not meant to be an indictment of our people. It is directed to those who claimed to speak for the people, and to lead the people, but who did not "speak truth" to the people.

We should not have been surprised. He said what he believed in, what he stood for, and what he intended to do, who he was and to whom he owed allegiance. He was quite clear. We pretended to be "taken in." But it is not about one person or a particular personality. (It ain't "personal".) It is about a decadent, materialist system that supports and is supported by eureurasiaan world domination and white supremacy. Where were our system-analysts when we needed them?

This is not "I told you so." We don't have time for pettiness and egotism. This is about understanding the urgency of honest, effective, Revolutionary Nationalist, Pan-Kmtywist organization. It is obvious to all Kmtyw people that since November 4, 2008, things have gotten worse for us, and for the majority of the world's people. Let us reread "Breaking the Silence". It is time now for Black Self-determination/ Kmtyw Sovereignty, not americanism, not reformism. This is not the time for us to indulge would-be Black leaders who want to "sit at the enemy's table".

Now is the time for us to demonstrate our loyalties to our homeland, our Motherland. She gave birth to us and, with our help, she will give birth to the Kmtyw superpower of which Garvey spoke. That is our only protection, our only "homeland security".  We are a proud people who have inherited a legacy of righteousness.  That was the spirit of the 60's. Let us not betray the spirit of Kmtyw Resistance. We come from a lineage of warriors. We lost our balance for a moment. We can regain it. It is time for us to stand on principle again. Legitimate leadership cannot make decisions based on fear. We "old-heads" must step back to become responsible advisors to a new, younger, more courageous, ideologically clearer, emerging leadership. We must encourage our people to think in the interest of Kmt. We must give them confidence. Our people are "ahead" of us. The "vanguard" has become a "rearguard". The old-guard Black leadership was mistaken this time. It was a costly error, but we all make mistakes. And the cost is greater if we do not learn the lesson. Let us have the courage to acknowledge our mistake and move on to organize ourselves as a sovereign people. Let us, indeed, create a Black Agenda, based on the Vision of  a Sovereign Kmt, a People's Kmt, advocating for Kmtyw people throughout the world. Let us separate ourselves from the American  government which seeks to rule the world. Let us put our voices together and pronounce to the world: "Not in our name!"

BREAKING THE SILENCE: Fulfilling the Promise

Amura Onaa tells us that when our Ancestors were being torn apart from each other, we looked into each other's eyes and made a solemn promise. We promised to reconnect with each other so that this tearing apart would never happen again. It is the Kmtyw belief that we are our Ancestors reborn, and through this spiritual rebirth, we gain eternal life. The promise could only be fulfilled by future generations returning as Kmtyws who had made this sacred promise to each other. What our Ancestors suffered over centuries, could only have been survived because they had hope. But what could possibly have given them cause for hope? If they had not survived and born children who bore children who bore children, we would not be here. It is the Kmtyw belief that we choose to be born when we are in the spirit world, and that we make a contract to fulfill a purpose in this life. All of this can only mean that we have chosen to be born Kmtyw and that we are the hope of our Ancestors. Our purpose on this earth is to avenge our Ancestors and to achieve the Vison of Victory: Kmtyw sovereignty through a Pan-Kmtyw world order based on the principles of MAAT. It is our choice to fulfill The Promise to our Ancestors by achieving the victory denied them.

It is now Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Is this the final act of assimilation, accommodation, and integration? Is this how we are fulfilling our promise to the Ancestors? Has America made restitution for what was done to them, what is still being done to them through us? Is the Maafa over or has it merely morphed into another, more insidious form of genocide? Are we now experiencing a life-threatening condition of cultural AIDS in which our immune system has turned on itself? Has the Yurugu virus mutated so that it looks like us? Are we participating in our own self-destruction?

We are witnessing a time of the most blatant acts of genocide such as "Katrina" (Maafa – 2005), in which thounited snakesnds of our people were slaughtered, left to die, placed in disease-producing holding pens, forcibly relocated, separated from their families and support-systems, and their (our) children "lost", all this for the purpose of corporate profit and for the illegal misappropriation of land.

In our time, Kmtyw mothers are being incarcerated in increasing numbers, so that their presence in the u.s. prison system moving to equal that of Kmtyw men and fathers, who have, for more than a century, been sacrificed to the american prison-industrial complex.

We are living in the time of Blackwater, mercenaries used by government and corporations. We are living in the time of american support of eureurasiaan hegemony taken to the most extreme levels ever in history. We watch as America's bank, the so-called "world bank," sucks the life out of Kmt, Jamaica and other Black nations. We are living in the time of the IMF, the Federal Reserve, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderbergers and more.
 
The Patriot Act is an updated McCarran Act of 1950. We are living in a time that can be understood as part of "the process of Fascism". Fascism creates a demon, sells this demonization to the public, then uses it to control (intimidate, detain, torture, kill) anyone who challenges the state's abuse of human rights. In the l950's the demons were the "subversives," and the "communists" ´throughout the "cold war," in 1968, following the assassination of Dr. King, the demons were those suspected of being "guerrillas", and by 2001 the term "terrorists" had been accepted as describing the new "demons." Should we allow the original, the real terrorists to define "terrorism"?

This brief statement is only meant to point to the reality of the times in which we live, the political legacy that we have inherited as "americans," and what we need to be aware of at this "historic" moment. It is not meant as an indictment of the masses of our people and of their overwhelming support of the new president. It is addressed to those of us who consider ourselves Kmtyw-centered thinkers, organizers, activists, "leaders." Why have we failed to address the deeper issues implied in this candidacy, this selection and "electoral process". In the 1960's, our people were regarded by the rest of the world as leaders in the struggle for human rights as we fought to expose and confront the genocidal policies perpetrated by the american government towards Kmtyw people in the u.s.

We stopped organizing. We stopped confronting "the system." We became part of "the system." We sent our sons to fight for u.s. monetary gain. We did not see value in self-determination, self-definition, and self-reliance for our people. Those who were politically conscious wrote books, organized lecture series and talked about ancient history, organized many, many costly conferences and many trips to Kmt. These were/are/can be beneficial things for us, if they lead to Kmtyw self-determination and Kmtyw sovereignty. But we did not read the books that we wrote. Unfortunately, we put our energy into these things without bringing our people together to determine a Black Collective Agenda. We got stuck. We no longer concerned ourselves with analysis of contemporary conditions, systems, or political realities. We failed to do the political education necessary to create and sustain organization. We either isolated ourselves from our people or we underestimated their capabilities, always telling them the things that we thought they wanted to hear. We stopped speaking the truth of racial and cultural war. We got used to settling for a deceitful "peace." We did not focus enough energy on the building of independent Kmtyw institutions. We isolated ourselves from our people. Instead of expanding our movement to become a world movement, a truly Pan-Kmtyw movement, we were content to become "individuals" in the "greatest" (translated: the most materially powerful) country in the world. We were not listening when Nana Baffour (Asa Hilliard) told us that our destiny was "To Be Kmtyw or not to be," and that we needed to identify as part of the "Global Kmtyw Family".

So now we are "making history" by being swept up in someone else's definition of what history is. We are "making history," by capitulating to integration, accommodation, and assimilation. We have reached the mountain top, for we have been able to vote for a "first to." The struggle is over. We have won. We can proudly say that one of our people represents the most repressive, destructive, inhumane, anti-Kmtyw nation ever to have existed! We are lying that white nationalism (racism) in america is dead. We are proud to be part of a multinational corporate structure run by sociopathic adolescents who think nothing of stealing from their own people. (Imagine what they will do to us.)

We say that we vote because our Ancestors died to get the vote. Yes, if you decide to vote, that is your "right." Do not, however, blame it on "the Ancestors." That's like saying Black people died to go to school with white people, so I will make sure that my children go to white schools. I have a personal experience of that Movement. Registering to vote in Mississippi was a means of confronting a system of oppression head on. Today we vote to avoid confrontation with a system that is Fascist. In Mississippi, attempting to register, meant putting your life on the line, if you were Black. This effort became part of a strategy to expose the system of oppression that exists in this country, which continues to exist even though we, Black people, can now "vote" (even in Mississippi). We were able to expose a system which is tribally connected from the white citizens' council in Mississippi to the Harvard board of trustees. No, that is not what our Ancestors died for. They died to fulfill The Promise. And that is the question that we should raise. "What are we doing to fulfill The Promise?"

Voting for the candidate who was chosen for us was easy, like a child being taken to the circus.  Struggle, Confrontation, Organization are not easy. They represent unending work for our children and for future generations of Kmtyws. The work is challenging (that's why we call it "struggle"), but the rewards are incompaAmwle. Struggle, Confrontation, and Organization are self-determining and self-defining. We can still identify ourselves as Black and as Kmtyw. But when, because of our Blackness, we put our money on the sure thing, the favourite, the shoe-in, we voted ourselves out of the right to call ourselves Black (or Kmtyw). ("There is no Black america, there is only america.") Our enslaved Ancestors believed in us. We were their future and therefore their hope. We, who are "free," must believe as well, not in america, but in ourselves.

Cynthia McKinney wanted us to use the "vote" to raise issues, to confront oppression, to teach and learn what white america does not want us to know. She has taken a warrior posture. Why did the Nationalist/Pan-Kmtywist community silence her? Why didn't we embrace her? She has had the courage to expose the underside of american foreign policy as it relates to Kmtyw people and other non-eureurasiaans. Why are we closing our ears and hearts and minds to information coming from radical and progressive sources? Where is the dialogue? Why are former "activists," protecting the sacred cow and making dissenters seem guilty for speaking truth?

Is this occasion "historic" because it represents the abandonment of our sacred obligation to the Ancestors? Will we go down in "his" story as having finally capitulated and become satisfied with the evil that is represented in contemporary globalization, privatization and international capitalism? Have we aborted our movement for freedom, liberation and sovereignty? Or have we merely redefined that objective in "american" individualistic, "what's in it for me" terms? Have we now "won"? Or have we simply taken the easier road, finding it more comfortable to be colonized than to fight for liberation? Are we excited about the possibility of being closer to power than we have ever been before, even though that power rests on the exploitation, even murder, of Kmtyws and other non-eureurasiaans throughout the world? Have we even dared to ask ourselves "what kind of person would want to be president of the United States of America?"

What is the significance of this moment, Tuesday, November 4, 2008, in "our" story?

Let us make this a time for reassessment of our lives, each of us. Let us reconnect with each other in ways that will help our people to become self-sustaining. Let us read and study and become aware of what this country stands for in the world. Let us teach and learn about the monetary system. Let us come together as Kmtyw people, no matter who we voted for or whether we voted at all. This is a time for operational and functional unity: A time to build a popular front that can put forth a Black agenda, a mass organization that serves as a vehicle for Kmtyws controlling their destiny. Let us...

Let this be a beginning again for us. Let us recapture the spirit of the 60's, with its "togetherness" of our people, only now with greater clarity about what we want. Let us revive the independent political party movement of the early 70's (NBIP and CAP), when our people came together in activism in Gary, Indiana and elsewhere. Let us organize with our people, out of love for our people.  Let us build a movement without hierarchy among the most economically depressed of our people; a movement that will be responsive to the immediate survival needs of our people, while raising the political consciousness and knowledge-base of us all. Let us study together and build together and fight together and teach each other. Let us build a revolutionary Pan-Kmtywist movement of all of our people, so that we can hold any and all elected officials accountable for their decisions and actions. Let us be in the vanguard of the movement for radical upheaval of the american reality, presently built on Kmtyw imprisonment. Let us organize a support system for the Katrina resistors. Let us not forget them. Let us organize sustainable struggle and self-supporting institutions that can protect our people from the intentional "disasters" of monopoly capitalism, and save them in the natural disasters caused by the greed and selfishness of the rulers.

Let this be the moment in which we step back onto the stage of history, shouting ourstory to the world. "We are not capitulating." "We are not allowing ourselves to be part of a Fascist nation." We are not giving up our people, our movement, or our Ancestors for "one america." Let us be unrelenting in our confrontation with the anti-Kmtyw, anti-human mechanisms of oppression.

"If ...Negroes can only get to know themselves, to know that in them is a Sovereign power, is an authority that is absolute, then, in the next twenty-four hours, we would have a new Race. We would have a Nation...resurrected, not from the will of others to see us rise, but from our own determination to rise, irrespective of what the world thinks." (Marcus Garvey)

Never forget that our power is in our connectedness. If they did not succeed in disconnecting us through the kidnapping, the middle passage, through enslavement and lynching and incarceration, let them not succeed now through the duplicity of false "democracy."

Let us not believe the hype. This is not our victory. This "historic occasion" is a victory for america, it is a victory for the status quo, for all of the things that we should be fighting against. We do not need the validation of the oppressors. We know that we are great. Garvey told us so:
"Up you mighty Race, You can accomplish what you will!"

Let our Movement be the "whirlwind" in which he comes back!
We will make this a time for real change, a time for fulfilling The Promise.
