Hey community, wondering what's going on with the book club and if any of the collaborators is willing to help start this up....

Good question..I had just sent Obadele an e-mail in regards to the book club....I thought the volunteers would get an email listing of those interesting in organizing the Blacknificient ...where's EJ Researcher, where's pain??

I was not sure of what books were selected from the staff meeting that was held. However, if those that have replied and are reading this forum are interested, maybe we can have a live chat or at least cast our top three books (fiction or non-fiction) that we can vote on in a week (8-26). And then begin the book club a week later. That would give us one weeks to get the word out on the list serv so that people can get the name of the book and can begin reading for our first session that we can decide on after the book is decided.

Sounds like a good idea. When the submissions for books come in I'll start a poll. I remember Ayi Kwei Armah's 2000 Seasons came up as did Marimba Ani's Yurugu. As more suggestions come in I'll add them to the poll.
