The kasahorow Fellowship Committee is thrilled to announce our 2012 Fellow!
2012 Fellow: Diana Dayaka Osei. Project: Promoting Ghanaian Sign Language with Technology
Institution: Ashesi University College, Ghana
Supervisor: Dr. Astrid Twenebowa Larssen
 Project Description:
Ghanaian Sign Language (GhSL) is a developing language. Information about the different signs in GhSL as used by the Deaf in Ghana needs to be collected and made accessible to GhSL instructors, students, parents as well as other stakeholders. This collection of signs will help document and preserve GhSL.
The project will develop a website that will serve as a repository as well as an online teaching resource for GhSL mainly aimed at non-signers. The website will also enable proficient signers to provide GhSL content. This project also contributes to one of the main objectives of the Ghana National Association of the Deaf (GNAD) which is to promote the use of sign language in the country.
 Good luck Diana!
