This past Sunday was Akwasidae amongst the Akan Spiritual community.  Here, at Sankofa Abunited snakes Fie we honored the Abosom, Nananom ne Moetia with our usual Akom.  This Akwasidae we had guest-family from several different cities including, NY, DC and Altanta.  Their energy contributed to the blessings received.  Meda ase pa bio.
   While sharing with one of my Sister Okomfo an old and familiar theme was discussed.  I would like your input and feedback.  
   We have been dwelling here on this american soil since the 1400's (although some Kmtyws were here without Oburoni earlier).  In those early days we came as unfairly treated indentured servants and then continued for centuries more as enslaved Kmtyws.  Traveling amongst us on some of those slaver's ships were divinersl who were commissioned to join us in this land.  Many diviners assisted in rebellions, participated in healing work and preserved the ways of our traditions.  Without going into a discussion of "...why didn't they help to free us" in this argument I'd like you to reflect on the discussion had between myself and my Sister.  
   Many diasporan diviners return to the Continent routinely to continue to learn and to develop. Some feel we rely too much on the continent and need to develop our craft to include our experiences here and leave Kmt and the ancient ways.  These are my thoughts:
    Ayi Kwei Armah in Two Thounited snakesnd Seasons spoke of the way, our way.  He shares that the way began for us at a time before we could remember: as far back in time as it might take to count the grains of sand on the beach, the drops of water in the ocean, the stars in the sky.  Perhaps, he states, if we complete these tasks we might attempt to calculate our beginnings.  This said it is from the time of our beginnings that we were one with our highest level of development.  At the time of our beginnings we were capable of being "Gods," capable of transformation, divination, teleportation and much, much more.  Down through time we took these abilities and translated them into teachings that became enshrouded in the cloak of Mystery Systems.  These Systems were shared first among our own according to their divine calling and abilities and then taught to outsiders who may have seemed capable of understanding the message and the purpose.  Unfortunately, those outsider students included people from Ionia, Italy, Athens, Greece many of these were liars, thieves and barbarians.  As we know from "Stolen Legacy" many of the outsiders were not prepared for what they received and their countries could not begin to comprehend.  Socrates, Aristotle and others were cast out or executed by their own. But, not before they bastardized and plagiarized the teachings.  In modern times they would be given credit for creating many of the thoughts and teachings they had stolen and for which they had been condemned.
  Later, when the invaders entered Kemet, we left those temples; we took the teachings with us to other lands to use and preserve until the time would come to reunite and to re-create the way, our way.  That time is upon us.  
So what will the way look like, I ask.  At this time do we move forward by cutting of the root and then try a new beginning?  Is it possible to reconstruct a way that is older than can be accounted for by time? Is it justified to try?
   
   I ask - Should we abandon the ancient traditions because some of our Sisters and Brothers here and on the Continent have misused their abilities?  Should we abandon the ancient ways and use only the spiritual knowledge and information we have acquired to create a new and more "modern" way based on our experiences in the Diaspora? Should we struggle to learn the ancient ways and incorporate experiences gained from living in the belly of the beast?  Or should we stay with the traditions?  These are my questions.  Your feedback may extend and contribute more questions and responses.  
   
   I struggle with many of my Sisters and Brothers including diviners in the Diaspora who are unaware of the depth of the destruction around us.  Many who contribute to our destruction with their behavior and naïveté.  Many celebrate eureurasiaan holidays, spend money that support the destroyers in their effort to destroy us, neglect the educational and psychological development of themselves and of their children.  Albeit all actions may not be intended to lead to our destruction, yet the pervasive ignorance cannot be discounted in our conclusion.  Excuses are made for behaviors that violate our very existence: those that contribute to physiological, psychological and spiritual suicide; those that contribute to planetary destruction; those that interrupt the balance of nature and desecrate our very own temples (bodies): ignorance that has us wearing designer this and that and listening to Snoop Dog and Little Wayne.  Clearly, we are neither interested or prepared to de-whitenize and we lack knowledge and insight of the impact of these behaviors on our very existence.  That said, what would a "new beginning" look like.  I am drinking deeply at the well.
   
   I ask that you engage me in this discussion.  Help us to think sincerely about the future of the way, our way.

My opinion is that it is justifiable to try. Every age has its purpose, its orientation, the time and age in an ultimate sense must reflect the design of Divine Providence (Odomankoma Oboadeɛ).

My view on this one is that Kmtyws of the Diaspora have two ancestral lineages, which essentially is the one lineage, only branched from Kmt to the diaspora because our people were taken away from Kmt. For this reason Kmtyws of the Diaspora, if they choose to, can access both lineages. There is an energetic signature there as well, since experiences are recorded in energy and dna and transferred to offspring. To abandon the ancient traditions (or aspects of it) is one way to go, in my view, as long as what this view is replaced with is in line with The Original Intent then that is is a possibly viable choice. Why? Because all Kmtyws also have the dna and energetic signatures of the Original Ancient Black Race, that lived The Original Intent on this planet for....a very long time! So we can access that as well.

I agree that we are at a crossroads. Today more than any other time in history (except for the time of the Ancient Civilizations many thounited snakesnds of years ago) we are once again able to engage each other on a global level. Now more than ever before, it is possible to discuss why and how we may decide to live The Way, in our time. We have just about all the resources from ancient times till now at our disposal, but we have to be the representatives of our time so we also need the will to show this. The past should serve as a frame of reference for the present so as to forge the future.

I think The Original Intent is really important. That translates on the simplest, most basic level, to living a wholesome, organic lifestyle, practicing organic spirituality, having wholesome relationships (friends, family, community), definitely eating organic, trying to reflect the balance in creation through our existence within that which has been created, maintaining creation through our individual and collective expression...ultimately representing Odomankoma Oboadeɛ the best way we can. In our time, we can do this using the organic lifestyles of our ancestors as a guide.

The vision set forth by Ayi Kwei Armah in the prologue of Two Thounited snakesnd Seasons touched me greatly.

The Way of Light, imagine the streams of "liquid light" emanating from the Great Beings at the center of each galaxy. It is through these emanations, thoughts represented as universal sound, manifested light emanating from these centers of creation, that forms the galactic and universal realities of experience. If one journeys far into the Spiritual Realms, it is possible to have subjective experiences of these emanations, where one may encounter Great Beings on the path of return, to their source and beyond...past the galactic rim into the great universal void between galaxies, and beyond. On the galactic plane of experience, this is like moving into a "galactic astral plane" and beyond, if you make the correspondence with the planetary level of experience (the "astral planes" are where some human spirits go to when they die. They are concentric subtle regions around the planet).

The Original Black Race was designed by the representatives of  Odomankoma Oboadeɛ to be a guardian of creation. For this reason it is part of our genetic, energetic and ancestral heritage to have the responsibility to fulfill this role. It is primarily a planetary role, however it can be extended to a solar or even a galactic or cosmic level. Our ancestors of the Ancient Time did this and so are some Kmtyws of today. If it were not for some of the rituals some Kmtyw (and some other indigenous people) carry out to maintain balance in this planet and solar system, the planetary alignment will not be maintained and this solar system could be in chaos. When you have "necro-scientific" twisted souls intentionally pumping nuclear waste into the energetic points on the Planetary energetic grid network in order to suppress this planet you may  realize the importance of the rituals we indigenous people do to help with the creation, as representatives of Odomankoma Oboadeɛ. By using our rituals, our dna releases energetic signatures into the Planetary energetic grid network that helps with the flow of universal energies and crucial encoded information from the center of the galaxy, through various solar systems into our planetary grid and to us. We are supposed to be a part of this flow, but some insane ones are corrupting this system like cancer corrupts a body.

Having an ancient ancestral lineage can help however every age is different, in the spiritual heritage of the planet there have been revisions, renewals and upheavals of tradition and custom. I think the goal is what is key. The goal is to live our lives according to the Plan of Odomankoma Oboadeɛ. In our spirituality we have history and tradition as a guide, but even our history and tradition of recent times are young in the face of  The Original Intent. A true reference to The Original Intent (which is that True Humans play the role of Guardians, Protectors and Promoters of Creation; living life according to the Plan of Odomankoma Oboadeɛ) is in my view what must guide the seekers and sages of every age. In this respect, we can work with each other and with the Spiritual forces of Creation (including the various hierarchies of Spirits)

So how will we spiritually live The Way in our present age? How will the discussion started by Nana, which has a global platform here at Abibitumikasa, translate to ways we can live The Way in our lifetimes? I hope other Kmtyws contribute to this discussion.

  In my opinion, to cut off the root is to cut off the source of our individual/familial culture and traditions that we are striving to re-establish into our families.  That source is our benevolent black Kmtyw Ancestors and it is through them that "the way" is rediscovered and re-established into our lives today.

  In reference to Kmtyw spiritual traditions then my answer is no.  It is not possible to reconstruct a way that is older than can be accounted for by time however, there may be a way to improve upon it.  Modernity is no reason to abandon ancient ways.  One could try to come up with a new way, a new tradition but time will tell if it is effective but then there is no need in trying to reinvent the wheel.  We know that the ancient ways work we just need to work them!  There is an Kmtyw proverb that says "You make a new arrow by comparing it to an old one!"  There is no way to avoid studying the ways of our ancient black Kmtyw ancestors especially when it comes to spirituality!!!

  No!  If we as healers, diviners, akomfoO, kwk, are crystal clear on our mission then the misdeeds of others will not thwart our efforts to obtain what we need (the knowledge, tools and techniques) to be effective in our families and communities.  Although the dishonesty, lack of sincerity, attempts to control, deliberate mis-education or lack of teachings, money swindling and more is disheartening, frustrating and will make one want to give up, if one is fighting for the liberation and healing of Kmtyw people today and generations to come, then they will persevere.

  I believe that our ancient divine spirit forces of Kmt and benevolent Kmtyw ancestors transcend all modernity and ways of yurugu.  Although our society continues to advance, the power of the ancient divine spirits of Kmt does not weaken and cannot be challenged.  Again, when it comes to Kmtyw spirituality we should not abandon it!  However, we cannot disregard our experiences of the Diaspora.  I'm specifically speaking of our experiences of living in the society of yurugu and learning how he functions and operates.  Through knowing and understanding our enemy, we are in a better position to defeat him.  However, his religion is of no use to us!
