@kevlew...I can see I didn't explain that exercise clear when we had our group...my bad. What I was asking us to do is give the infinitive of the verb then give 3 tenses in english. Then everyone else would need to conjugate the verb in Twi.

Nhwɛsoɔ (example):

ko - to fight (infinitive)

The three tenses that need to be conjugated in Twi:

He's fighting - Ɔreko (just giving the answers since this is an example)
They fought - Wɔkoe
I will fight - Mɛko

So one would also have to know the proper subject pronoun to use. Which is what @Agya Kwaku suggested in addition.

I don't know about the University of Ghana but David Adu-Amankwah has a grammar lesson book, WO NSO KA BI. Akan Basic Grammar and Practice. I believe @Tenkamenin has it. Perhaps he can tell you if it's worthwhile to buy. I have his grammar book (Asante-Twi Learners' Reference Grammar) and it's great. But it's not a lesson book as the title says, it's reference.
