In the office today. I've packed a kale salad, an apple, green smoothie, cashew milk/banana smoothie, green smoothie, strawberries and pineapple, water and green tea flavored with mint and honey

Hey, found this resource for those who are interested in learning how which activities push the body the most.
You enter your weight, the activity and see how many calories you burn.

How did it go? That's a lot of nutrients and liquids. Seems like a good way to start out a cleansing week

My bladder was on 1000! Haven't downed the green smoothie.  I think that's gonna be dinner.

Nice video, Nataki! How'd you get the video in the corner of your screen shot like that?

I also notice that your video says 40x40... That's in 5 weeks... Can we extend your deadline a bit?

Hey Abibitumi team.  I have hesitated in posting this response because I don't want to risk raining on the parade. Please keep your enthusiasm.

However in my experience I question the wisdom of beginning a new physical training regimen at the same time as a cleansing or semi fasting diet.   This is because the these two activities are physiologically opposed  concepts.

Physical training is a ANABOLIC meaning building tissue activity. Yes fat is burned but the pushing of ones exercise to higher levels causes e body to BUILD muscle both skeletal and cardiovascular. Strenuous Exercise stimulates appetite which when you are on a cleansing calorie restricted diet is very difficult to maintain.

A cleansing severely calorie restricted diet is a CATABOLIC activity. This involves the BREAKDOWN and burning of tissue. In the body's own wisdom it picks the non essential and diseased parts to break down first. You are physiologically starving. While mild to moderate physical activity is essential to limit muscle mass loss during a fast or semi- fast cleansing diet, beginning new physical training puts severe strain in the metabolism since you are forcing e body into opposing physiological states simultaneously. Yes is can be done but in my experience to do so is asking for trouble.

I advise to maintain current physical activity at a 80% level unless you are a ultra marathon athlete in which case I recommend you contact me for further discussion. In any case training to increase strength or endurance is in my opinion unwise and counterproductive during a cleansing or fast.

Also a solid food severely calorie restricted diet is very difficult to follow especially if it lacks variety. You are hungry all the time and are bored as well.  This is very difficult to maintain.

I recommend the juice fast with no increase in physical activity, unless you are completely sedentary now, ( in which case beginning a easy walking program is indicated) because while on a juice fast soluble nutrient intake is maximized while the appetite disappears after about three days. The juice faster is literally not physically hungry again until the detoxification has completed. The return of true body as opposed to emotional hunger is the signal that it is time to break the fast.

Once the fast has finished and a new more healthy pattern of food consumption has been established now is the time to build up physical strength and endurance since the body is ready physiologically to rebuild.

The good news is that if you are having problems on the elimination/cleansing diet it is quite easy to move into a juice fast.

I could never or did a fast and exercise heavy at the same time. Since exercise has always made me eat more. Thanks for breaking it down scientifically.

@Kala Kambon, I just like the title and I'm counting it b/c I'll be 40 when it happens. I'm doing progress pics on my birthday but before we started any of this  @KRS2 and I decided to do through her birthday Sept 5th.
