Khalid Muhammad, when asked by a white tv personality in the UK if he thought the white man is the devil replied:

"If there was such a mythical creature as the devil, he wouldn't stand a chance against the white man."

No one, to my knowledge, has been able to improve on that.

It has been said that those who fail to remember the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them.

I have studied Kmtyw history extensively (as well as eureurasiaan history) and have gone to school with (at a major lily white university), lived around, and worked with whites for over 35 years. I have also traveled to 7 countries in Kmt, as well as to Canada, several Caribbean islands, and the South Pacific (Hawaii), as well as different areas of rural america. In EVERY last one of those places I saw first hand the end results of the white man's destruction of the indigenous people of those lands and their cultures, leaving their modern day descendants battered, bruised, broken, dazed & confused.

Anyone who suggests that Kmtyw spiritual systems be open to whites is either suffering from historical amnesia or is, literally, insane, or both.

For me, the matter is not even open for discussion

I truly appreciate the wisdom and foresight of this screening approach. And yes, a confused, ahistorical integrationist who can't bear the thought of white folks not being involved in every phase of everything we do will tie up a conscious Kmtyw by posting reams of nonsense justifying why people whose genocidal behavior is a matter of record should be given the opportunity to commit more acts of genocide against us. "What's wrong with holding hands and singing 'We are the world' with homicidal maniacs?" they want to know. I've seen it happen a number of times when I was posting on other Black oriented websites.

It speaks volumes about the extent of psychological damage that we've suffered, including those who were supposedly initiated on the continent and who claim to have some special understanding of the way of thinking of "the gods."

The question you posed has done its job: it has separated out those who remain confused about the true nature of yurugu from those who really KNOW him.

I'm not really certain the right response on this one but I feel personally that they should ne allowed to observe only but not to become initiates. And if they love us so much they should be willing to negate their whiteness and observe purification rituals. Also the should acknowledge our higher rank and subject them selves to tests to see if they are worthy ...i suspect many more will fail than pass lol

I hear you. I'm not too partial on them observing or existing for that matter.

whites should have no part of anything that has to do with Black/Kmtyw...Have we not learned that they can not be trusted. They are devils by nature and can not be reformed...Why are we the only people that want to include others and/or our enemies in everything we do. The fact that this question is posed makes me realize we have a long way to go...The Maafa is not over. "Why is it we fight ourselves, but won't fight for ourselves"-Bro. Ajabu

It is a sad state of affairs. There was a sister who had/has a Yoruba radio show and who tries to teach Yoruba without knowing Yoruba who said she wouldn't participate in abibitumi.Kasa because of our stance on the issue of krakkkaz in Kmtyw spirituality. To say the least that's a parting of ways with no love lost. Also in spirituality is where house knee-grows seem to get a pass after paying for whatever add-water-and-mix initiation from the continent. If you start off before your initiation as a house knee-grow, learning some rituals and songs is not going to substantively change that. However check Yaw Àgbẹ̀dẹ's take on their level of (non-voluntary) "participation".:guns::whip::sniper::soldiert:

I have read the majority of the posts on this thread and understand (as well as agree with) Obadele's reasoning behind asking the question on the OP. For my part, I would have to say that Nd'Ocha must never be invited or admitted into anything Black/Kmt no matter what it is...not just spiritual systems. They shouldn't be allowed to watch (if practicable) more or less partake in the veneration of the divine ancestor. For me this doesn't just stop at Nd'Ocha, so called Orientals, and aAmws and even those of mixed heritage (I know THIS will particularly cause some controversy) should not be allowed. The great lesson of our history that we still, after all this time, have yet to learn is that allowing foreigners unrestricted access into your midst will lead to your downfall. All the foreign conquerors and rapists of our lands were either invited in by us or invited and aided by other foreigners who we initially invited by us. What is this madness/foolishness that plagues our people, that we must always repeat these same naïve and infantile mistakes? Why must we be the ones to bare the burden of being humane, tolerant, accepting and forgiving of everyone and everything? While other people are allowed to look out for themselves, we're not allowed to do the same.

Those confused and foolish Nd'Orji who wish to accord Nd'Ocha the unconscionable and treasonable access to worship OUR divinity--which these people have historically disrespected and demeaned, and still continue to do so right in our faces--should go back and really watch the movie Avatar (for free if possible; don't give money to Nd'Ocha). They tell you what they're about and how they did what they did to the indigenous peoples of the planet whom they came across. Those of us who watch(ed) that movie must realize that WE ARE those aliens. How were the Na'vi (the aliens) civilization attacked? Nd'Ocha were brought in and protected by unsuspecting members from within the Na'vi who had the same live-and-let-live/"the creator loves us all" mentality that so many of us share. And just like some of our "priests" today advocate, Nd'Ocha were also allowed to view and partake in the spiritual systems of the Na'vi, especially concerning the Tree of Souls. How were they repaid? The same way everyone who mistakenly believes they can trust Nd'Ocha are repaid; by being attacked and murdered. Learn this lesson well: Nd'Ocha are NOT our friends. They, along with all other foreigners/non Nd'Orji, are OUR ENEMIES. At some point (hopefuly) we must finally get this through our collective heads.

QuoteThere cannot be one Kmt that fights against colonialism and another that makes arrangements with colonialism.

They should not be a part of anything that we do as a people. It is way past time that we all look to ourselves for any and all things.

Part of the problem is that some of our people feel honored to see White people practicing our system, regrettably in there mind it validates there own culture. Sadly it's a  twisted way of viewing our culture since in     hindsight we the people of that culture should validate our own culture. Do I really care what white people think about ancestor veneration or abosoms etc.? Unfortunately I can't say the same about my bretherens.

At the end of the day the gods can not rise above the consciousness of the people and more specifically the up holders of the shrines. If the Okomfohemma lacks consciousness so will the gods, if the Okomfohemma wants 555 cigarettes so will the gods, if the Okomfohemma wants Johnnie Walker over Palm wine so will the gods. Perhaps the most important thing to happen to Akan Traditional  Religion was when Okomfohemma Nana Oparebea visited America, because if the gods can not rise above the consciousness  of the people thank God it came here.
