For a long time I've been ignoring my inner promptings to return to veganism and now I have no choice, but to change my lifestyle, unless I want my condition to get worse. Since I've started eating healthier again I've lost 25 lbs and counting! I started exercising again and am starting to see a difference in my body. I have a ways to go before I reach my target weight, but I'm not quitting! I realized that I loved food more than I loved myself, and it's a shame that it took an illness to shift my thinking, but I'm glad it did. Sometimes when you don't listen to the whisper of your inner being, it has to shout to get your attention. I wish all of you love, strength, endurance, and support on your fitness journey.
Glad you are healthier now!

Not that it's a competition, cause it's not. 2 pounds from my newest goal, which I'm thinking to possibly make my final goal.

Although, I'm thrilled with my weight loss I'm disappointed that I did not step into the gym all of last week owing to work.  I've got to do better with my time management.

This is a constant challenge for most of us. Especially when we work for someone else.

We have to come to the place where caring for ourselves, our health is inviolable and if called on to do so the answer is always no.

Our residual slave mentality tells us that we can sacrifice our own personal agenda to achieve the economic (read that as the masters) agenda. If only temporarily.

This problem becomes worse with age because it becomes harder to get back in shape the older you get.

What strategies are we doing here to stay on point?

Comments?

This is a constant challenge for most of us. Especially if we work for someone else.

Except in the true emergency where we must fight and perhaps die if need be for family or our black nation, we have to come to the place where caring for ourselves, our health is inviolable and if called on to do so the answer is always no.

Is it residual slave mentality that tells us we can sacrifice our own personal health agenda to achieve an economic (read that as the masters) agenda? Or leads us to set and to meet a goal we have set for our family that if we think about it we would know will sacrifice our health.

Do we sacrifice our health which us our true wealth to meet an often illusionary and unobtainable goal?

Or perhaps we relapse into addictive inactivity or diet. Or addictive media consumption, kwk.

This problem becomes worse with age because it becomes harder to get back in shape the older we get.

The yurugu economic system thrives on our illness. The mind control apparatus is designed to lead us into behavior inconsistent with perfect health while extracting maximum value from us.

What strategies are we doing here to stay on point? How can we shift the paradigm?

I agree, if you're on the plantation, it's a rule that you must forgo your well-being for corporate Americas. When I was in banking and my branch was short staffed we called that shift "captive" meaning you could not leave the office for lunch or break. I left banking when I could not attend the funeral of my former professor as a result of being captive.

Presently, I'm fortunate to call my shots and make my schedule which makes my lack of attention to myself last week that much worse. Because I'm still learning about myself both spiritually and physically, I don't have a set routine in place.  On the bright side, I'm at my peak, no obstacle is too difficult to overcome, and every day I feel like I'm on the cusp of doing something amazing.

Mission accomplished, ladies and gentlemen, mission accomplished!

I may go down to a hard limit of 170 as a final goal and then maintain a 170-175 range.

Mo! And you feel stronger? The thing I am realizing is just how much stress the weight put on my body and how much more energy I have. Yesterday I went into NYC for a meeting down Wall Street and took the A from port to Fulton then walk a few blocks. Felt great!

I do. I've been keeping a serious exercise routine including Asako (Kmtyw Combat Capoeira), body weight exercises, weights, heavy bag work, etc. I've been replacing fat with lean muscle, so yes, stronger indeed.
It's true. I literally feel lighter. That's great. I also find my stamina stays up when sparring.
