LOL okay that makes me feel better that you said that. I felt guilty posting I didn't like it but I really do want some suggestions for other artists.

I think I tend to like songs that have real instruments over synthesized. And maybe the lyrics would speak to me if I knew what they were saying but I didn't love the vocals.

I'd love to integrate more Kmtyw music into my workouts. Any other recommendations?

My morning cardio starter. Used to play it on the stationary bike and listen to it while powerwalking at the Lake. Ignore the smiling white guy. The song is about Black men rising up against to wage war while yelling "No le pega la Negra" ie Keep your hands off our women!

I love music with syncopation, instrumentality, polyrhythm,  pianos, horns, cowbells, a clave, and a solid drum/percussion beat.

Went to workout this morning. It was cold as heck! Parking lot was sparse and there were only 4 people in a class that usually has 30+ people.

Instructor had a great attitude and said, "since class is so small, I can give you individualized attention." She went around and corrected our form doing moves and showed how to get a more intense workout. Most intense workout all year. It was like a private personal training cardio session.

Exhausted but FEEL AMAZING. Especially after that unintentional nap on my couch about 30 minutes ago.

Great job @BestVeganChef!
I did 1,000 skips on the jump rope today, but broken into 2 sets of 600/400. Then 10 bench presses, 10 bicep curls and that was basically it before my X-Live FM interview. I'll probably do something small before going to bed.

Awesome! Sounds like you got  a really good workout in. You didn't lie about the chill in the air this a.m.  I hit snooze once but still made it to my 7:30 am class this morning. Started a 16 week challenge at a new gym today. Wanted to change things up a little bit so we'll see how things go.

RIP Joe Arroyo! "No le pega la Negra" is a great song. A Panamanian sista I used to salsa dance with translated that song for me.

When I'm on the elliptical machine, I listen primarily to Soukous music. Fabregas is my favorite Congolese musician right now.

When I'm winding down on the elliptical, I like mellower music like Urban Boyz (Rwanda) "Till I die."

When I'm in the garage hitting the boxing bag, I listen to a lot of Femi Kuti.

One set of 1000 skips on the jump rope this morning (I'm really feeling my calf muscles right about now), 10 bench presses, 10 bicep curls, about 20 minutes on the punching bag. Heavily abridged workout routines in the thick of the semester.

5 days of work outs last week. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and a lot of walking at an event on Saturday. Started drinking my mint water again. Feels great. Feeling great. Working at the polls tomorrow so I may just try to work out on the resistance machines if I don't walk too much.
