Had an off day yesterday, I didn't workout at all because my arms were sore from weight lifting the previous night. Also, I had fish and chips yesterday which was a low point for me.

Nonetheless, today is a good day. I found a good boxing timer app and hit the bag for a good 30 minutes. No breakfast this morning just 66 fl oz of water. For lunch, I airfryed some whole okra and ate it with diced tomatoes, onions, jalapeños and a small cabbage salad.

Looks yummy!

Todays delectables for during the work day. I have 2 apples a container or watermelon and mango, a green smoothie and several bottles of water chilling. I plan to start the Optimum  [juice] Fast on the 22nd so I have to wean myself off my regular diet in preparation for it. My workouts are going well. I did an ab routine this morning and have 2 spin/cycling classes scheduled for this evening. How is everyone else's nutrition and physical activity efforts going?

@KRS2,
I'm ramping it up this week. The last two weeks have been super busy. I've only been exercising about 3 times a week. I want to get back to exercising five or six times a week.

Dad and I are going to the gym this morning. I'm excited about that!

I'm still not at experiencing dramatic weight loss but I look much better. I noticed my thighs and my stomach have slimmed down a lot! Looking forward to being able to get back into all my clothes again soon.

Diet has been okay. For the most part I've broken the emotional eating. But every once in awhile it feels like there's nothing to eat except salad.

Other than Ethiopian food and Indian food none of my old favorite restaurants have anything that I would ingest again. And outside of the produce section, the bulk grains section, and maybe 3 or 4 random shelves, there's not much food on the food shelves at the grocery store.

And my grocery store is Mom's Organic Market. So I can't even imagine what's on the shelves at the typical chain stores.

I'm proud of myself. Last Saturday I was speaking at a conference and got hungry. I started to go to the local black vegan restaurant called everlasting life. But since almost all their menu is soy or wheat, I opted instead to just drive home and make a heavy salad with a side of my one remaining cheat food.

The appeal of eating out is NOT really so appealing anymore. The thought of eating food prepared by people who don't have the same Health standards as I do just doesn't seem to make sense.

I'm still doing nutrient drinks with either the Vega one nutritional powder or the raw meal nutritional powder. Both contains about 40 plant-based nutrient extracts and are formulated to maximize absorption of the nutrients.

When my schedule slows down I want to do  @NKO, program.

How's everyone else doing?

Hey lady! Driving home to make that salad is an epic win! I like what you said about people that don't have your same standards making your food. That's an excellent way to look at it. Thanks!
Tell Baba and Nana hello! I can't wait to see them!
I don't care as much about dramatic weight loss. I'm losing inches and feel a lot better in general so that's fine by me!
Today will be a lunch time workout then some swim practice.  More fruits and veggies and some nuts today for food.  Everybody keep pushing!

Abibifahodie

1,000 skips on the jump rope (in weird irregular sets of 300 and 200), 10-5-5 bench presses, reverse tricep lifts over the head, shoulder presses with barbells, 10 rolls on the ab-roller, 150 leg lifts (sets of 100 and 50), tricep lifts going backwards, 30 bicep curls each arm, 30 chest presses, all while wearing a sauna suit that made me sweat off 2 pounds.

Hey  @KRS2,
I read your post to dad. He smiled and said "you know she's our new daughter, right?"
Wow who knew I'd get a little sister this late in life? Lol

Thanks for the validation about the decision to eat out or not.

Hugs it's awesome how you kicked it into high gear. September is right around the corner.

Yesterday worked out with Dad. He did the circuit machines. I did an hour of intense Zumba and a hot room that made me sweat like crazy. Then I just did 5 minutes on medium intensity on the rowing machine full body workout.

Been drinking water, taking nutrients, eating salads centrally. I have one cheat food that's crept its way into my diet but it's the only cheap food in my diet so I'm good with it for now.

There are several people have connected with at the gym so I like having a local support group to compliment how beyond motivational this Abibitumi Kasa group has been for me.

Clearly I am way late coming in on this challenge but after reading some of your posts I am inspired to do some more health and wellness work for myself also. I also wanted to say ya'll are doing a blacktastic job! I believe my diet is pretty healthy but I can always do some tweaking here and there. I have been vegan for about 7 yrs with stints of being raw vegan as well, and I already incorporate some activities like kemetic yoga, dance, and walking but  I can certainly do them more often and more consistently. I am also a naturopathic physician, and currently an acupuncture student so with the long class days and late nights of studying and work etc. I could work on sleep hygiene for sure! I Love sharing, educating and learning about health and wellness information, as well as making healthy and yummy vegan food, so I will post some recipes and tips I use along the way as well. Not sure how long you guys are gonna be doing this challenge, but In the mean time, More power to you all on your health journeys~

Girl it was all fun and games until it was MY birthday. I start the Optimum Fast tomorrow you'll probably be hearing a lot more from me over the next week. I've done two a days this week but am on the struggle bus this a.m.
My yesterday a.m. workout was a round trip 3 mile walk to the grocery store to get supplies for the day. I did spin in the p.m.
